Cloud deep in Shinra Mansion

Cloud deep in Shinra Mansion

After seeing the E3 presentation of Final Fantasy 13 it got me thinking about how much I enjoyed some of the older titles. So much so that I’ve started playing through Final Fantasy 7 again. And it’s surprising how well the FF series stands up today, even though the 3D graphics of the PS1-era games look quite crumbly now after all this time (especially compared to the still awesome looking 2D SNES-era games).

Perhaps that’s due to them just being really well-made games. I don’t really know but I’m having great fun playing through FF7 again although I doubt I’ll invest the amount of time into it I did back then levelling everyone to level 99 and obsessing about getting all the limit breaks.

After I’m through I’m probably going to give FF9 a good go, I never really got into it originally so it’ll be interesting.

I’m finally getting around to blogging again since letting pucechan.co.uk evaporate into the aether and it’s kind of wierd. I’ve been trying to update my Twitter and my Facebook status more often and micro-blogging is at least slightly easier to think of stuff to post and doesn’t require as much (if any) forethought and planning.

As for this blog, I’m just going to go with the flow and blog about whatever I feel like at the time and see how things go. As always it’s likely to have some gaming/geeky stuff as well as other stuff. We shall see.
